Well, I have been toying around with an idea for awhile and I just decided, what the heck I'm just going to do it!!
Introducing His Voice...
Next month I am heading to a conference called
Influence where I will be learning more about using the gifts God has given me to make much of Him. Whether that is in my home life, on this blog, in my church, or with my friends, I want to make much of Him always and I want to be wide open to the ways in which He wants to use me.
A few weeks ago I wrote a post about choosing love
{here} and I talked about a huge fight I had with my husband. The response I got blew my socks off!! Text messages and personal e-mails from women who were considering leaving, now deciding to stay, couples who were choosing love. These notes just wrecked me. I was on my knees thanking God that He saved these marriages, in awe that He used me to help Him in His great and awesome plan.
God wants to use all of us to help Him in His awesome plan.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good
and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'"
Does He need us? No, of course not. Does He want us? Absolutely.
God has blessed each one of us with gifts that He wishes us to use for Him and for His glory.
I feel like my gift is writing, is motherhood, is a willingness to be transparent, and I want to use it for His glory on this blog.
There are so many women that have these same gifts {some so much more so than me} and we all want God to work through us, to use us. Here is a place where I want us to come together once a month to share the most powerful things God is doing in our hearts.
What is God stirring in you?
I try to have quiet time every morning, where I read God's word and I pray and meditate with Him. In this house I am lucky if it happens once a week. I make time to read my devotions, but sometimes they are just words on a page. Until later when I happen upon a blog that I love, then the words I read earlier echo back at me in the form of a heartfelt blog post and I finally hear what God is saying. That blesses me in every way.
I want this link up to pull us all together {all Faith bloggers} to help lift one another up, to lift each other's readers up, to let God speak through us.
This isn't a link up to get more followers or
require someone to follow or even comment, it's just a place you can go to find
inspiration and encouragement from other like minded women.
Romans 15:5-6 says
"Our God is a God who strengthens you and cheers you up. May He help you
agree with each other as you follow Christ Jesus. Then you can give glory to
God with one heart and voice."
